    Ballast weight help

We have been trying a number of combinations on our '06 24V.

2 750's in rear, Intergrated up front (round 600), and a 450 under the seat insert. We had about 900 #'s of people in main cabin area. I dont ride but my son does. The height was huge and he loved it, but he says it is a shade too steep. We had taps set to 2.5-3

    1. My question is if the ramp of the wake it too steep what would be the solution to this? A little less weight in the back? more in the front? Wouldnt using the taps at a higher number make it steeper?

    2. The boat is a real dog getting out of the hole. Im not sure of the prop pitch but it is a 4 blade. Should I be looking to try another prop, 3 blade??

    3. If the wake is curling over and washing out abit what can be done to have it nice and clean on top?

    Thanks

Whats the speed and line length being ridden at?

We found with our 22Ve that adding weight to the bow made the wake steeper, so maybe try reducing the bow weight to make it more rampier.

    Do you have a black (1:1) v-drive or the blue (1.5:1) v-drive?

Well, thats not too slow and not too short

With the blue 1.5:1, you need to stick with a 4 blade. What model is on there now? If its an ACME, the model # will be stamped on the hub. Other wise, the size will do. Knowing what you have now is a great place to start when choosing an upgrade.

Those like more weight in the front for a rampy wake. I modified my hull to make it identical to yours, and I've been testing tons of different wakeboard combination. Right now we run two 950's in the lockers, a 550 in the walk way, integrated bow sac, and the triangle on top of the bow seats filled about half way approx 600-700lbs, and a 750 in the cabin when it's just me and my buddy. With that much weight up front you have to be real careful about dipping the nose.

The other day we filled the triangle all the way up and it made it way to rampy, so It must be opposite of what chp said for his 22v. We run either 2 or 3 on taps. We run 25.7 at 82.5 feet.

So I would say run maybe another 550 or 750 sideways up in the bow and you'll be set.

Oh and for the prop you'll want an acme 1235, 14.5 x 14.25. Chp can probably get you one of those.

Adding weight up front definitely makes the wake rampier.

My 06 22ve: 750 in each locker, 1000 triangle in the bow, 400 v drive sack in the walkway, and 400 v drive sack on the floor against the back seats.

The boat also has two factory hard tanks in the middle of the boat on both port and stbd side which are probably 75 each.

Not the best set up if you have alot of people in the boat, but allows taps to make it as steep or as mellow as you want.

            24 mph at 75ft
