    New wake

Finally got some photos of our (new to us) 24V surf wake. Single 1,100lb flyhigh jumbo sac in rear locker (almost completely filled), two people sitting rear port seats ~350lbs, and 180lb at the helm. Subtract 180lbs for surfing photos, surfer is 6'3" for reference.

Taps set to 3, speedo indicated 13-14mph @ ~2800rpm. I know a lot of people run slower, but mine starts to wash out at around 11-12mph. Could be speedo error....I'm going to take out the gps next time to verify speed.

Duffy, think its time to trim up the deck?

    Nice wave

I thought the main reason that people were trimming the deck was because it was affecting the wave. What do you plan to gain by trimming?

By trimming it, you eliminate a little bit of wash. If you are happy with your wave then leave it

I'm not overly concerned with the wash with only a couple of people, but will have to see what happens when we add more people to the port side.... Darn, still more "testing" to do.

"testing" is a never ending feat that will consume your life, your soul, and your destiny!
          Surf, test, and rock on!
          Waiting for another good one!

That looks awesome! I will be filling my new 1000lb L sac next time out and hope to see my wake look more like that. Where are you located? That almost looks like the dam on the lake I ride on (Lake Anna, VA).....

Thanks guys, it's amazing the size of wake a single sac with a 24V hull can make. Not competition quality, by far, but good enough for us weekend warriors.

                FacePlant, we're up in Ohio.

BTW, forgot to mention earlier, I'm running a ACME 1631 prop. It really kicks the 24V out of the hole.

What part of OH? I grew up there...Cleveland, then Columbus, Massillon and 15 yrs in Dayton (Caesar's Creek for boating was 20 mins away).

Yeah, what part of Ohio? I also grew up and lived in Ohio. Lived in Enon / Yellow Springs for most of my grade school days, and then lived in Beavercreek for High School and College days before moving out here to Reno.

I grew up in Columbus, OH in the 80's on the SouthEast side. It's a nice place to be FROM!

                        Nice

Wake looks great. Suprised that it appears a bit short considering you are going 13MPH. I would dump the front sac if you have two people in the boat. Make sure one of those folks is sitting across from you on the port side of the boat and have their back to the water. That does great things for our wave.

Did not see that you were running TAPS. Have you tried bumping TAPS to 2?

Don't know that you need to cut your swim deck.

Nice work and thanks for sharing.

It will get even better as you get that rub rail down, by the looks of your swim deck, you have a lot of room to go. You should look down while surfing, and go, "hey, where the heck is my swim deck?". I am exagerrating, but if you get that rub rail to kiss the water at speed, it will be amazing.
