RZ2 Front Bag Ballast Options

Does anyone know of any off the shelf options for replacing the front 400 lbs horshoe bag? I need to run a little more weight up front to counter all the weight I added in the rear as the surf wake is pretty steep. (running 1,100 pound port side locker, 380 lb tube sac in port side storage locker).

I know the pro ballast system adds a signficant amount more weight upfront, but is that a custom bag or something you can order off the shelf?

A pair if the 400# Fly High W701 V-Drive locker sacs is about the best value out there for that conversion.

Will they fit underneath the seats? Just got rid of a 400 seemed a bit big to throw underneath the seat.

I am looking for a plug and play into the existing horseshoe - thoughts?

It will fit under the seat but you can't fill it all the way. You would need a wedge sac for that. My advice is to leave the horseshoe sac and throw a 400 in the walkway under the bow filler cushion. It will stick out some but won't be terribly in the way.

I just pulled my horsehoe and replaced with two 400# W701, mostly for side specific weight. They will not fill to 400# but I am not yet sure what % they will fill. Weather/wind has conspired against getting the boat out for two weekends now.

The install was easy. Rewire exisiting pumps (already set up on each side) and T a vent.
