Anyone else have trouble with Fly High's quick release fittings?

So I'm in the middle of my big ballast install and finally ready to 'sac up'. My problem is getting the fly high 1" fittings inside their 1" hose they sent me

    ..I've tried>

    extreme hair dryer heat,

    silicone lube..

    both heat and silicone lube..

then a spreader with both heat and lube.

with all that I got it about 1/2 way on but that's it

the hose is obviously too small for the fitting

Nothin is workin and i'ts holding up the project. Am I ret*rded?. I hope there's a easy answer to this 'cause i'm ready to snap

Use a heat gun on the hose and they will slide right on. Works perfectly.

cool. I was using a small hair dryer..that got pretty damn hot. I guess it wasn't hot enough,

I'm so close to finishing. All I gotta do is get those fittings on and connect them...then wire the whole deal up and bam it's wave time.

Haha too bad more snow is coming tommorow evening to the west coast..doh..I've had enough. We just got 8" friday OMG. That's 4 straight weekends with snow and clouds during much of the weekdays..highs in the 40s and 50s..water temp> brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..

I'm moving to some desert lake

      thanks duffy

Those fittings are actually 1-1/8", so its a tight fit to get 1" hose over them. I use a thin layer of silicone to reduce the friction between the rubber hose and plastic fitting and then a heat gun to relax the hose so it will stretch over the fitting.
