Here are the current proposed thruhull locations for my 24Ve:

The one nearest the engine raw water intake would be a 3/4 inch thruhull. The other two would be one inch thruhulls.
I am presuming that since the engine raw water pump is an impeller design and can thus draw a vacuum, it is less important to avoid having thruhulls in front of it. Far more important to keep the hull clear in front of the triducer.
