Removing the floor of a 24Ve?

I need to remove the floor (the portion over the fuel tank) of my 24Ve. I found two screws at the rear, held on by two nuts underneath, before I ran out of daylight last night. What other fasteners are involved? Are there more screws up front, or do you just remove the rear ones and the floor slides rearward and then lifts out?

    Thanks!

I removed the floor of my boat last weekend. I found two fasteners on the starboard side and one on the port side. They are located between the side compartments and the center portion of the rear bench. Once removed, the fiberglass center bench could be lifted straight up bringing the aft portion of the removable floor section with it. As it lifted, it pivots around the floor section front edge, so you can move the entire section aft by a couple of inches to clear the "hooks" on the leading edge of the removable section out from under the fixed floor. Then the entire assembly can be lifted out.
I did this by myself with the tower folded down and in the way. I would recommend a second set of hands if possible.

My seat's center section removes independently, but I understand what you're saying.

Excellent, that's what I expected - that the floor was "inserted" at the front (to eliminate the need for exposed fasteners). The rear fasteners, at least on my 24Ve, are covered by the removable center seat section you talked about above. Once it's out, the floor fasteners are accessible.

Thank you very much for responding, I'll give it a try ASAP!

If it is like mine you have to remove the rear seat. There is carpet trim around the bottom edge of the seat that is screwed to the base. You have to feel to find all of the scews.

Yep, center of rear seat is out. Underneath are the two screws I mentioned. On yours, if you remove those two rear floor screws, does the floor just come out? Or are there more fasteners holding down the floor?

          Thanks!

The floor lifted right out. It is actually out right now.

Great! Sounds like getting it out is straightforward.

I want to remove it to confirm placement of my intake thruhulls and pumps, and then to actually install them. I think I could cut the holes (right angle drill) and install the hardware, but the pump itself will probably have clearance problems if the floor is in place. No interference once installed, but to remove or replace the forwardmost pump will require lifting the floor. No biggie.

              Thanks again for the help!

I recognized the fasteners between the carpet trim and the fiberglass, but didn't remove them. I think I will remove them next time.

Mine wouldn't come out without removing them, but I do have a different boat.

I don't think my floor will t come out without removing those fasteners (though I'll know soon!). However, my seat section does come out without removing the carpet trim along its bottom edge. I believe I've read others report that they must remove that strip. Apparently there are subtle differences between models, and perhaps between different years of the same models.

I had 2 bolts in the bottom of the seat & 2 horizontal bolts just inside the speaker housing towards the middle.

Update: My 2009 24Ve's floor came out as described herein. Remove screws from the stern end, then lift and slide. However, I only had ONE screw in one corner. There's a threaded pemnut on the other side, but no screw in it. It looks like it was simply forgotten. I may add one when I reassemble things.
