    My plan starts over

Now that I have to complete price on a Johnson 3 pump system, I am now looking at the regular aerator style pump.

Will the 3/4" thru hull and the 3/4" shut off valves screws right into these pumps?

What does 3/4" NPT mean? Fly high sac are not NPT type thread correct?

No need for c/v's on the drain lines.

I like it - no vent on the middle sack?

You can use a check valve in the vent/drain to reduce the number of thru-hulls if that's important to you.

How are you planning on draining the center bag? Aerator pumps are not self-priming, so you'll need a pump attached directly to that bag to get the most water out of it.

I think I just put this together, but did you used to go by ILikeToSki back in the day?

Why would you need a check valve in either the vent or drain if they have a separate thru hull?

This sac will only be used when we do not have enough people in the boat, so it will not be used full time. For the number of times we do use it I though we could just unscrew one of the top plugs on the sac to vent air.

You cant put a c/v in the drain line, it wont work. Turned one way, it does nothing because there is not flow coming that direction to stop. Turned the other, and the drain pump is pushing against it and the system will not drain.

In the vent, line, they do one or two things, depending on how the system is configured. No matter how the system is configured, I like to use a c/v in the vent. When the system is draining, the c/v prevents air from coming in on the vent line. This allows the sac to "raisin", adding in a more complete drain. If the vent and drain share the same thru-hull, the c/v also prevents the drain flow from running back into the sac via the vent line.

I was thinking (because this bag would not be used on a full time basis), I could have a pump just inside driver console, right tight to the floor. The drian hose (and the fill hose) would come through the fiberglass with some sort of nice trim. When we use the bag we would pull out the hose and attached to the back bottom of bag (prior to filling). When we dont need to use bag the hose would push back into the console.

What size of thru hull would one need to support a manifold with 2 1100's Rules? What about 2 Tsunami 800's

Just to confirm aerator pumpps MUST be below water level correct?

I have NP with more chrome thru hulls...IMO it looks more pro!!!

Even that length of hose will cause priming issues for an aerator pump. May not be a problem, but given that you'll probably want to get as much of the water out of the bag as possible so you can fold it up for storage I'm betting you'll be disappointed.

                              1" for two 1100's, 3/4" for two 800GPH pumps.

Correct, they need to be at or below the level of water they are pumping in order to maintain a prime.
