    Surf setup question for 2011 RZ2

    I'm sure this has been covered but I can't find the thread.
    I have a 2011 RZ2 with surf ballast (1600lb). What is the correct setup, ballast and TAPS, for surfing regular and goofy assuming there are 2-3 adults that are not overwieght in the boat?

    Here is a good place to start:

    Fill the tank and surf sac on the side you plan to surf. Leave the opposite side and bow empty. Place the extra bodies along the surf side as well.

    Speed = 10.5
    TAPS = 3-5

    This will give you a good surfable wake. From there, you can adjust speed (I wouldnt go slower), fine tune the TAPS and add bow weight depending on the board being riden and the riders skill level.

      Good place to start. After the above, try speed 12 (or 12.5) for more pocket length. If you still have acceptable wave height, add bow weight for even more pocket. If even still acceptable wave height, drop TAPS to 2 to further lengthen pocket.

      If you are in a low enforcement area and are ok with the saefty aspects, put one passenger sitting on the transom and the rest tucked into the surf side corner seats.

      Have fun!
