Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking the exhaust may be the issue and the air in the hoses. That is the bummer with having to mount thru the transom. The intake is right near one of the exhaust pipes.

What is it about the check valve that won't allow the air to go through?

Chptrill, I may need to get two from you.

The emptying works great on the system.

Here are some more pictures of the finished product.

What kind did you get, plunger or flapper?

The plunger style are spring loaded, so the pressure in the sac has to overcome that spring tension before it will off-seat the plunger and purge. I first tried these feeling that the light spring would not be an issue, but I found it was.

The flapper type work ok, unless you get them at an angle and water is left sitting on the back side of the flapper. This water adds weight to the head-pressure and the pressure in the sac has to overcome this in order to purge.

I have the plunger type. The direction I have them arranged has them open in that direction so the plunger doesn't have to move. They should only close when I am emptying the sacs.

What does make sense is like you said it probably has water stuck on the other side that is keeping the plunger pushed closed. Would the flapper type prevent that?

The only plunger type I have ever seen from a plumbing supply placed where spring-loaded. The plunger is closed until unseated by pressure/flow.

Pull the hose off the sac and blow through it and see how much force it takes. If your cheeks "chipmunk" that's the venting problem.

Went out yesterday and filled the sacs with the boat off and I had a lot less balooning of the sacs. So note to others, be aware of exhaust when placing the intake of the system. I really did not see much of an option elsewhere for mine.

Also I let the pumps run longer and the check valves did open to vent and let the water run out when it was full. Loving the system now. Specialy with switching riders wakesurfing.

I bought a sac for the walk through to even out the boat for wakeboarding but we will have to wait for this crazy wind to die down.

Nice work I want to install a system on my boat this year. But think I might get a FAE first.
