That would explain why the air isn't being expelled as the bag fills, but it doesn't explain why he's getting air in the bags to start with.

Well the ballast system all works great, but I do have one issue. When filling the sacs they are not venting like they should. Even though they are flat when I start pumping, they get air in them and balloon. What could be causing this and what keeps it from venting out? Anyone else experienced this?

Thats what he asked, wasnt it

Its a given that the pumps will put air into the sac upon filling, this is why we design our systems with a vent.

Not to sound snitty or anything, but he really asked two questions.

        First:

        >>What could be causing this<<

        and

        >>what keeps it from venting out?<<

'scuse me for trying to help....

          ^^^^

LOL, you called ME out for not answering his question! You answered first, the "why" air is getting in the sac, so I felt there wasnt a need to answer that one again. I answered the "why" the sac is not venting. Properly venting the sac is FAR more important then preventing air from entering the sac to begine with. Even if there is no air, we still need to vent the sac, so it doesnt do as Rusty's is..."ballooning"

                    Sorry everybody, It seems I'm the one who needs to say this;

This is exactly what I do every time I see one of your posts. In fact, I just skip over them anymore because after about two days of you being a member on this site, I got tired of you droning on and on about whatever it is you think you're so smart about on that day. This one caught my eye because it was less than 1000 words. Coming from a SeaDoo to a Tige does not make you an expert on everything! I'm glad it worked out sooo well for you but, I for one am sick of your incessant . Shut the F up already.

I'm sorry it has come to this but damn, give it rest man. If you would like to discuss your issues or the lack there of in your head, please PM someone or start a thread in the Off Topic section.

Sorry rustydust, I'm really interested in your set up and I'm just trying to keep this thread on track. Please continue. I would love to see some more pics of the full sacs and the wake. I'm also interested to see the vent fix.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Wow! I ask detailed questions about a topic (Tige boats) on a site dedicated to that topic (Tige boats) and this is your reaction?

I've never been accused before of giving TOO MUCH information, or asking questions in too much detail. This is a first. I see a lot of "Please give us more details so we can help you better". Which do you want?

Hey, if they're off topic, I would do that anyway.

But thanks for helping out here. We all really appreciate it. Not sure why you are making this so personal, or why you are so personally offended by me asking questions or trying to help people.

Rest assured, if I have anything off topic, I'll use the off topic forum. And again, please accept everyone's thanks for lending a helping hand. Good of you to step up.

I think I paid about $15 for the elbow from a local plumbing supply house. It took me awhile to find the right supply house though (I'm not a plumber) and then they have the China version and then the US made version for basically double the price. Thinking back, I probably should have bought the US made one...

Just an FIY. Marine fittings are more bronze that brass, that's why the marine parts are higher in cost. The bronze will corrode slower and has less of a galvanic reaction.
