IF you have the stock ACME 537, the 1235 is a popular upgrade, but I like to recommend that a call be placed to the experts @ ACME to get their input. There are a handful of other suitable props, and ACME will help you choose the right one for your needs.

When running a lot of weight surfing, the 537 will cavitate and slip. When boarding, it will have a slow hole-shot and can struggle to hold speed.

If you havent reached this point yet, I would think about waiting til you experience it before upgrading. If you know right off that you will be surfing or boarding with a ton of weight, then yes, now is the time to think about a re-prop.

I contacted ACME before I bought mine. I used their website and filled out their contact form. Part of that is knowing the prop on your boat as well as which trailer you have and how much clearance you have.

Not enough info given yet to really make that decision, BUT, for wake boarding and surfing, I cant think of a reason why I would recommend someone go from the 16" pitch of the 537 up to the 17.5" pitch of the 381. And I cant think of a reason why that prop would have come on that boat new from Tige as they have been using the 537 solely for a few years now.

I would gather the needed info and get with ACME, but my gut says the 381 is not going to be the best and an upgrade will make a difference.

Horse power is useless if the prop cant "grip" the water. Re-proping is also about reducing prop slip.
