IMO, that is the worst and last place I would locate the switches. They are too easy to bump with your knee!

Agreed, I don't really like it but figured "If the factory puts them there...."

Since I think three switches is sufficient on a Ve series boat, I'm starting to favor the blank panel above the right hand switch group.
