Need photo of late model 24Ve's factory ballast switch panel...

My 2009 24Ve didn't come with factory ballast. Tige can supply me with the panel and switches to control my own system, but I only have a vague idea of where that panel was installed by the factory. Apparently it was on the same side panel as the throttle arm, and not on the dash.

If someone here has a late model 24Ve with the factory ballast switch panel, I'd sure appreciate seeing a photo. That will help me figure out how/where to mount it.

    Thanks!

Excellent, thanks! I wonder if the 24Ve is in the same general spot?

Here is what my 2009 RZ2 looks like:

Thanks, I had actually seen that photo of yours in another thread and forwarded it to Tige to help with the discussion. They apparently didn't mount the factory switches in the same place on the 24Ve. (The chrome panel and switches are unique to the RZ series too, by the way.)

Ok, bummer your switches are not chrome backed. They are a pita to keep clean though.

No chrome doesn't bother me. I'd just like the switches to match.

Worst case, I can use the switches offered by WakeMakers.com. They are the ones used on MC, etc. They look nice, they just don't match. But now that I know they don't go on the dash on my 24Ve anyway, they'll be far enough away from the other switches that the slight appearance difference may not matter. It will probably depend upon how much Tige and the local dealer want to charge for the factory assembly.

                Thanks!

I bought the factory switches for my 08 and they were $75.00 without the mount for the 4.

They didn't come with an installation manual

Four switches? You have a 22Ve, right? Two for the stern... one for the front on Ve series boats, correct? The RZ's have two bow bags, I believe, but the Ve's have one. What's the fourth switch do on a Ve?

The single u-shaped bow sac needs two drain pumps to get the water out of each leg. I am leaning towards losing the single sac in the bow for dual front sacs which the fourth switch would also work for.

Why not just wire the pumps in parallel? One switch could handle both pumps, unless you're using impeller pumps (in which case I believe their combined current requirements may exceed that of the switch).

Then the four switches would definitely be useful.

                          WA this may help.

This is a customers 08 24Ve with factory ballast, should be fairly similar dash to yours not the same but close.

                            EXCELLENT photos, thanks!

I can't remember if my 2009 24Ve has that switchplate below the SpeedSet panel or not (it's in storage so I can't conveniently check). If it does, then I can either cut the existing plastic panel to hold the switches or replace the existing panel with one from Tige with the cutouts molded in.

If mine doesn't have that panel, then I suspect it also doesn't have that recessed area in the dash. Not sure what to do in that case - that implies the entire dash changes just to accommodate that little panel and its four switches.

Well your entire dash should be a lil bit different then that so I will see if i still have pictures of your boat and compare.
