    Custom Sac Group Buy

For those that might be interested, I want to try and get a group buy going for the new Gen-2 custom surf sac. Reason being, I can get a better rate for a bulk order, v's buying them individually for each customer order. As usual, I'm willing to pass that savings on.

With the Gen-2 Custom Surf, we have tweaked the size just a little, but the biggest improvement is the relocation of the two ports on the top. They have been moved to improve venting and reduce the self draining. Due to the changes, the sac went from a universal sac that could be used on either side, To a dedicated port and starboard side sacs. This, as expected, raised the cost.

These sacs were designed for the 22 ft V-drive Tige boats, but will fit great in the Z1 and the older 21ft and 23ft V-drives. The port sac should be 1000#+ and the starboard will probably be a little under 1000#.

The new prices are as fallows:
Single port sac order = $525.00
Bulk port sac order = $495.00
Single starboard sac order = $485.00
Bulk starboard sac order = $465.00

Fittings and fright not included. These will all be gray, but if anyone wants a different color, there will be a $15 per sac up-charge for them to swap out the material.

I need to order a quantity of 5 each in order to get the price above. If we can get 4 of each confirmed, I will place the order. Average lead time is 4 weeks for these to be built

PM or email (actually better) me if you have any question

    Thanks,
    Mike

Chpthril - I was curious if you have come up with a way to address the draining while underway of these sacs? I know it was an issue with the last custom sac as well as the new design when I was out with Ragboy.

Yep, it's all about the fill and vent placement.

In the 1st two picture, the port sac is on the left and starboard is on the right. This also puts the two in perspective.

this pic has the starboard on the left and port on the right, as they would be in the boat. this puts the upper ports on the front inside of the of the storage locker. As the sac fill and boat lists, this corner of the sac becomes the highest point. This gives us better venting, for a more complete fill, and reduces the self-draining from the vent port.

For those using aerators, you may still experience some unwanted draining through the drain pump simply due to the weight/pressure of the water in the sac and the fact that the drain thru-hull may be lower then the sac when the sac is full. This is where a vented loop may be needed, or, with some additional hose, you can run the drains to the other side of the boat. Now this has the sac's drain higher the sac as the drain is on the other side.
