I like the bigger wakes as do a lot of the people I ride with. The boat planes with out a problem but I upgraded to a 1235 prop which also cleaned up the wake. The wake gets wider and creates a mellower feel when hitting it but in reality you get booted quite fun wake to ride.

the weight is totally worth it!
riding at my stock 1600 lbs is still nice, but when i added about 1200 more the first time it was unbelievable.
needs a little weight in the front though to help plane out, and really doesnt take long at all.
im running whatever the stock prop is, It wasnt upgraded, and my engine is just the pcm 343 or whatever.
80ft, 23.6-23.8.
heres some stills from vid. the guy in the yellow is 15 yrs old, killer rider.
the others one are me gettin a little booted

Well I weighted the 2000 lb stock ballast and 1250 in extra sacs yesterday. That wake is huge! I ran at 24 and 75'. Hard wake and nice transition, not worth the gas for me though. I would reprop if I wanted that wake every time. I will post pics when I can get to my computer at home. I really wish some one would have a pic when I hit a good double up. I so want a camera on the alpha z tower!GO BIG!!

hycosurf tige has a camera that mounts in the alpha z tower. it's their latest option. you guys don't need all that weight. i had a bet with some guys on wakeworld. i cleared wake at 23mph stock 2007 22ve at 95ft rope also did a toeside 180 at 90' it's all technique, you don't need that big wake.i can weight my boat with 1200 lbs and get 6' to 8' of air height on 75 foot rope at 22 mph. the wake is solid. next spring i'll try 100ft rope heelside 180 at 23.5 mph. it's doable on a stock wake.but you can't be scared.I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

Robert,
But if you don't have decent technique it really helps to have a big wake! I think you are missing the point.
(I agree with you 100% is what I am saying). I have seen guys go much bigger with less weight. I just wish I was one of those guys with good technique and enough core strength to get booted. It happens to me by accident once in a while and that is why I keep doing this stupid sport.Be excellent to one another.

talltigeguy i know what you are saying also. you don't have to work as hard or be as core strong with a bigger wake. what i've found is if you learn all your tricks on a stock wake when you do add weight they get easier and you can add grabs and style.I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.
