    is this too much

Is 1,120 pounds og ballast in the bow and 1,120 pounds in the rear lockers along with 700 pounds of people/ gear too much weight in a 21V? I'm just trying to get a 50/50 weight distribution and that's how it works out with the bags I have. I just don't want to sink the thing but I want the biggest wake I can get.

I've had my 21V weighted with 1800lbs and it was a dog. Probably with an ACME 911 prop it would have been better, but I personally think that was too much weight...
    Waiting for another good one!

Okay well i think I am going to try the 750 in the front and 750 in the rear and I can fill up bags during the day and see what is best

I would take my time adding that much weight. If you can add a little at a time and see how the boat handles and how your wave looks.

I would start out w/ 500 up front and 1000+ in the rear. This would be a good starting point.

I started running 800+ in the rear w/ my 300# bag in the walkway last time out and the wake was great. I still will add more to the back.

Just found out the perfect setup for this boat. We had a 750lb bag in the bow filled as much as we can, a 600lb in the right locker and 370 in the left locker. We then had two other people sit on the left side to compensate. We rode 75 ft out. The wake was so rampy, never have i ever landed a tantrum out into the flats. It was so buttery.
However for wakesurfing, we left the bags but dragged the 370 bag to the driver side of the boat, on top of the seat and had everyone cram to that side. Let's just say this wave was huge. The picture doesn't do it justice!

KX250: The wake looks great. What boat do you have?

Edit: Never mind, I re-read your first post. May have to try a similar set up next year.
