Port side V-drive sac no drainy in '06 22Ve

I'm headed up to Tahoe this weekend to do some riding. My buddy informed me that his port side V-drive sac is not draining. Fills fine but, no drainy. I'm going to take a look at it as he is not the mechanical type. You know how these fancy pants doctors are. Anyways, I figure maybe a burned out pump? Bad ground connection? Maybe even a pinched drain line? He has alway has a syphoning problem with his system (not factory) so that is how he has been draining it. I know, I know, he's a doctor though. What other easy things can I check?

(with some humor) Ya know I gotta ask - what kind of Dr.? The Orthopods, Surgeons and Cardiologists I know are pretty sharp dudes but after that it varies.

Actually I think u got the bases covered per post above unless somehow soemthing got jammed in the plumbing.

Hmmm, sounds like a pump but you'd imagine he would be smart enough to know if the pump wasn't turning on. Then look at ground and also look for an inline fuse (don't know if his system has it). Maybe even some sort of air lock in the lines?

I am just a really dumb chiropractor so take this with a grain of salt!!

Talked to him last night and he said the pump is not turning on. The light on the switch is coming on but, nothing else happens. Will a burned out pump do anything? I'm pretty sure it's just a cartridge pump. I'm headed up there this afternoon so any ideas would be good ideas. Thanks.

Well, no luck. I only messed around with it for 10 min or so ( we were all fairly hung over) and honestly, it's a hokey set up. The pump itself is basically just floating around in the compartment along with the wires and lines. Nothing is mounted or routed (rigged) with any professionalism. Kind of disappointing. Not a Tige issue, it is an aftermarket system. It seems the pump is cooked though. It's just one of those Mayfair 1000's and it just ain't workin'. Anybody got a hook up on those?

happened to me the other day on my 10 rz2 with pro ballast kept tripping the fuse. problem was something got stuck in the pump causing it to short out everytime we tried to fire it up.
