I have tried to do a bunch of research and watch several videos about the install but figured I would reach out the group that is most familiar with my boat. I am planning on plumbing in all the bags this weekend and have a few questions, but first a little info:
I purchased the bags from chpthril (his typical recommended custom sacs in the back and the horseshoe in the front) and tsunami pumps last year and it worked great but not having them on a switch is a pain in the A$$. I ordered the pumps and all other components from him earlier this year and I'm finally ready for the install. On a side note, he has been awesome to work with, I just wish I lived closer so I could pay him to do this for me!
I have 3 1'' thru-hulls and I am planning on trying to squeeze them in on the starboard side by the gas tank. Is this the typical location on a 24VE? I don't really want to mess with the port side due to the transducer and risk turbulence. Does anyone have a good picture if this is your setup or any other recommendations?
Mike recommended mounting the rear pumps on the engine side wall of the rear seat. I bet I could easily fit one in the TAPS locker but what has everyone else done? I am also planning on mounting the front pump in the helm storage area.
As far as the vents go, I realize they should be mounted in front of their connections to the sacs but should I cross them over? I have check valves for these lines but I've read that passive discharge can be an issue.
I would appreciate any guidance or pearls of wisdom about the install. If anyone has easy access to pictures of a similar setup I would love to use them as a reference.
Cheers!
