    ballast puppies?

Do they drain as fast as they fill? I have one pump filling from the output and one from the input. I ask because one fills Alot faster. Then I just have the leads reversed. It was cleaner with my hose routing. Is this wrong? Or should I look else where for the issue.

The pump will run the same RPM forward and reverse, so yes, it should fill and empty in the same amount of time. I would say though, that a difference in where you attach to each sac and hose routing may play a role in actual fill/empty time, unless one is using the top fitting and is sucking a lot of air or there is a kink.

Depending on what year your boat is. I have a 2010, and it can be reprogramed if you will, where the front and the back fill at the same time. I just found this out today. We took it out today for the first time, and my front filled way faster than the back. They are going to recalibrate it for me. Make sure that you are not moving when they are in the fill position, and empting...it doesn't matter.

      Hope this helps.

Rooster, you need to change the boat in your profile...still says 21i.

The Ballast puppies are a whole different type of pump than the kind in your 2010. Aren't they still using aerator pumps with individual through hulls to each ballast?
        Be excellent to one another.

Correct. And I do not believe that the actual fill rate (speed and flow of the pump) can be changed, as that would require processor controlled variable resistor for each pump. I do not remember this in the conversation I had with Mark Gibbs, and he gave me a lot of info on the new ballast system as well as the TT, and I also asked some pretty in depth questions. The digital gauge can be recalculated to compensate for which ballast option the boat has.

All they have to do is reprogram it to where they fill and empty at the same time. Tige seems to think its not a big issue. Time wise...it doesn't take long.
