    ballasts in 09 RZ2

I just bought the 09 RZ2 and in the back storage lockers it says not to step. My question is will this support a 540 lb or 750lb fatsac?

Congrats on the new boat! Post up some pictures! I believe it will support either of those, the 750lb probably won't fit in the locker though.

There are 2 Tige owners with 09's that are running our 1000 lb custom surf sac in thiers with zero issues.

How do I get my hands on a custom sac?

It's an "L" shaped custom sac made specifically for the 22Ve and RZ2. It holds around 1000 lbs and will fit in either the port or starboard locker and does extend under the seat. 5 to 6 of us here put our heads together last year and designed it.

Send me a PM (private message) and I will get you the details. Please include your postal code so I can best estimate shipping.

I can vouch for the 1000 lb custom sack in an 09 RZ2. Excellent surf wake.

Make sure you get under there and check for exposed screws and such. I bought a bunch of corks and screwed them over the tip of the screws. Worked great. (I check them periodically).

I would make sure that the brace on the floor holding the firewall is well secured. Mine was not and had to be reinforced.

Good suggestion on the reinforcement of the floor panel.

I was concerned about the same thing with my 09 RZ2. I had my dealer check with Tige and they gave them the thumbs up. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't void the warranty somehow. They basically don't want a concentrated load back there, but a distributed load is OK. I added some 450# fat sacs. Love them.
