I understand the argument, but I don't think you can sweat the taps issue. Tige, like any company, has to make a profit, especially in this market. And sales to the lowest cost boat can't canibalize their more profitable ones. I remember apple had a black version of the macbook. I remember apple got a huge bad time over not offering firewire on the macbooks. If you wanted firewire, you needed to upgrade to the macbook pro. There are so many examples of this. Apple is a great company, so is Tige. But you have to separate your products and encourage people to "upsell" to the more profitable model. The fact that they offer this low cost boat, is a great thing for the industry, and you will get what you pay for. You can't buy the low end model, and expect the same features as the higher end, or there would be no need for the higher end.
Don't worry, tige will respond to the market if they need to. If they later need to add taps to the RZ0, then they will. They cut costs, went with the basics, frills are in the other models.
If you ask me, they need to make a 22ft low cost also, to compete with boats like the supreme. I love my RZ2, but its expensive, and in this economy, there needs to be more low cost alternatives. Just my 2 cents. Low cost is great, but its also small, if you need more room you have to pay a lot more, or look at other companies. A RZ2 like boat, with cheaper tower, not all the frills, 2 speaker stereo, around $50k would be killer. Same hull and taps for great wake, with less frills.
Anyway, we can't all run tige, but I tell you, when I look in my RZ2 and see all the changes made based on feedback I have seen on this site, I trust they will keep doing it right.
My only statement is they are crazy making TAPS and option on any of the boats. Tige has made that PART of the hull not like BU and the wedge. No TAPS is a very bad idea unless its not a convex V hull and is a more traditional hull like bu, cc, mc etc. What do I know I am just some guy.
Dont worry about it just get your *** over here order your new boat. I will make sure you get taps!!! You know you want the RZR now lets do this! get that mastercraft over here on consignment and get the ball rolling By the way did I mention U no U
The Moomba Outback .V with its MSRP @ $39k will be a competitor to the R20.
The Outback-V is in no way a competitor of the Tige.

Don't read into what I said. I indicated it would be a competitor because of price not function. It is no way as good as the 20V and most likely way below the new pickles but with it MSRP at $39K vs the R20 MSRP people will look. It will sell to people who are buying their first inboard and who are not surf or wakeboard fanatics. Appearance wise it is close to the R20. In my market it will sell of course my market has no Tige dealers.
Please take a moment and unwad
I spoke with a dealer who had a 20V I was interested in and we talked at length about the R20 and RZR. We talked about how they were configuring their initial orders for the boats for their initial blowout and nicely equiped but not over equiped the R20 was going to run about $8k and the RZR about $18K over what I paid for my nicely equiped 20V. As with anything the bar is getting higher. I will say the RZR had the Alpha tower and the Tower of Power along with other key options while the R20 was kept to only key options with no fluff but it struck me funny that to keep costs down the config skipped the rear grab bar and the pylon. I will travel to see them once a dealer within 250 miles gets a couple in inventory.
When you compare price , you have to compare the overall product, what am I getting? both fiberglass yes, quality no, both have engines , yes performance and economy no, versatility only Tige, drivabilty unquestionally Tige, wake quality Tige, and the list goes on, so how does price become the only basis, if thats the case then buy a entry level bayliner at 17000.00.
Also you should be compareing the Tige to a Supra not a Moomba, what is the lowest price Supra that is in the same class.
