    Ragboy,
When you are wakesurfing, is your deck underwater? Or only when not moving. I am trying to figure out whether to mount dead center middle or on the starboard side, so that they can grab the side of the boat to help climb on? We mostly ride regular, no goofies except the occaional guest, they will have to suck it up if I decide to mount the ladder on the starboard side.

The beginning of this video shows you what the deck is like while surfing. The top is NOT underwater, except the corner of mine, but I shortened mine a few inches, and also cut the corner in. But if you look, the center is not really in the water. My guess is that if you did the ladder in the center, it would not make anything worse. But just a guess.

Mount it in the dead center.

BTW you cant just mount it to the swimstep. The fiberglass swimstep is basically two pieces. An upper and a lower piece.(its hollow in between) You need to cut away a section of the lower piece add your hardware and re-glass it.

          Will this interfere with FAE?

That probably depends on how deep your swim platform is. On an older boat like mine, it might. I'd have to measure how much room I have.

It shouldnt on you boat. From the FAE's i have seen I think you should have plenty of clearance.

The step I have is basically the same distance as the edge of the platform when extended.

No, I think part of the issue is that the bow on an RZ2 or RZ4 sits up higher than the MC pickleforks. IMHO, I'd rather not have the bow plow issue than a ladder up front.

i have a 2008 22ve and i don't have a handle on the back of the boat to help with getting back onto the platform. i had an older lady that had a little trouble getting in and i'm sure my grandparents couldn't do it. any suggestions on installing a handle?
