2006 22ve Alarm buzzer is going off and putting the boat in limp mode. We took it in to the dealer and the code said it was something to do with the throttle, so the mechanic found a wire loose and fixed it. He ran it for about a half hour and it was all good. We went out to the lake this last weekend and the boat was fine for about an hour then the alarm went off again. Could it be the different voltage between the two batteries? I'm not sure what to do!!!! I have checked all the fluids, put a new battery in it, checked the knock sensor. Any Ideas????

Why does the Alarm buzzer keep going off and put it in limp mode?

Im guessing your 06 has the Tige EIDB.
From the factory, the ECM was receiving a voltage input off both batteries. If one, and it was usually the house, gets lower then the other, it would pop a TPS code and go into limp mode and only give you idle speed.
For this, the true fix was a simple rewire so both voltage inputs came from the one main battery. Its been so long, and probably 3 laptops ago since I first got this info from Dom @ Forts, I do not recall the pin # and wire colors involved.
For me on my 06, I ended up never having the problem again by just swapping the battery wingnuts to ny-lock nuts and double checking all the grounds on BUSS at the transom and under the helm. I would start here since its free and easy.
Now that some of these have gotten some hours on them, some are seeing some actual TPS (Throttle position sensor) failures. Knowing what code is setting and having a DVOM will be the key to diagnosing.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I'm sitting in my office laughing at my computer screen. Good to know I'm not the only person who references/quotes that movie regularly.
