PPI PCX-1500

Just wondering if anyone out there has any of these amps? I need to find two, and can't find any since they are older amps. The new line of PPI's SUCK so just wanting to get these to complete my system.

doms i had that amp loved the power but got hot. so i went to pheonix gold a mps 2240 22x2 at 4 ohms 1200 at 1/2 ohm and didnt get hot.Now i run sound stream 998x4 cant bet the power and there about 400.00.

I run soundstreams as well. XTA 360.4 They dont get hot and are not power hungry. Plus you can pick them up on ebay for cheap. $99.00 I dont know why they are so undervalued. They are only 45watts at 4 ohms but they drive my Kicker 6.5 mids and tweeters very well. I have 6 pair and they get very loud without the amps clipping. I also have a 480.2 bridged running a 12" kicker sub. Since they are relatively low powered, I havnt had any trouble running them on a single battery with an inline 1.5 farad cap. I think it is a good compromise... gets really loud without a huge draw on the battery.

I know blue lagoon is out, I ordered, but they cancelled it. I never tried Precision power pcx 1500 in the search, will do that!

They run a bit warm, but with my cooling system it's not a problem. I'm trying to get all matching amps, and already have 4 ppi amps, so I just need 2 more, and it will be complete. Just didn't want to have to buy all new amps, when I only need 2, so just thought i could track some down

Last I heard about SoundStream was 10 years ago when they were called SmokeStreams. They went through several reorgs but I still haven't heard much about them. None of the big install stores around here carries them.
