That probably depends who you ask, Tige lover vs Malibu lover. They seem to both have undesirable effects. Reports are all over that some gate boats don't steer while surfing. While I try to go as straight as I can, I still need to be able to steer now and then.

you can steer gated boats, at least as much as a taps boat. i regularly drive a 23lsv and no issues with steering corrections while underway surfing.

I'll take the system. I was just about to install some TAPS3 plates on a 2013 Z3 but elevated's explanation makes me want to go the GSA route instead.

Did you end up buying and installing the GSA on your 2013? I have a 2014 built in Aug 2013 and considering the GSA. Not sure if the plate will fit under the platform bracket. Did you have a problem with that?

I bought one from GSA. I had to modify the mounting bracket a little bit, but the install is pretty easy. I ended up selling the Z3, but that GSA system works flawless.
