Although I don’t have the money yet, a local friend and I are planning to slap it onto his Supra Launch next week.
So it’s **likely** sold. But not quite official yet.

I’m just effing around, I don’t have any illusions that you’d sell just the plates, everything else would be garbage, without them.. unless you really just want to sell the plates, then I’m a buyer..
Everyone putting them on the newer Tiges is using those plates, and having Taps control them. Supposedly a significantly better wave than the taps plates, and you just use your current system to run it just like taps..

Plate design is the same.
We can help ya out with parts direct if needed. Gsa doesn’t usually sell separate from the whole kit

GSA will sell just the plates. I bought a set a few months ago.

The key caveat here is that the system is inducing way more yaw with much less plate being deployed. Now you ask why that's important. The answer to that is simply that its allowing way more of the rear part of the boat to settle in the water vs other systems. Taps 3 for example is deploying roughly 24-40 degrees of plate in the water to reach the necessary yaw. Maybe not a huge issue until you understand the physics behind it. Its inducing a ton of lift to get to that point. To simplify it, you are leveraging all of that ballast you put in the boat right back out.
If your science holds true here, doesn't that mean a gate is a superior design to a tab?? This has always been my theory, but only proven in my own po-dunk testing.

Originally posted by UNSTUCK View PostThat probably depends who you ask, Tige lover vs Malibu lover. They seem to both have undesirable effects. Boat builders figured out the delayed convergence theory and it probably makes up 98% of making a surfable wave. Now they are all going nuts trying to dial in the last 2%, while not stepping on each others patents and making the next big marketing statement.
Take Taps3 for example, these plates roll, yaw and pitch the boat with 1 input(plate deployment). The trade space is closed out which would require a different plate for different size boats and different hull designs. But that is what happens when so much Patents stuff gets in the way.
Can anyone verify that Tige uses different Taps3 plates on different boats?
