    2015 Tige ASR

    Hi everybody,

My name is Chris and I work at MasterCraft Colorado. We traded a 2015 Tige ASR this year and I was looking for any help or suggestions as to what we are doing wrong. The boat is loaded up with every option available, it was the most expensive ASR the Denver dealership ever sold and we have priced what we believe is very aggressively and pushed ads hard without any interest...what do you all think we should do moving forward? I welcome any questions or comments and any help is appreciated!DSC_4410.jpg

Im presuming you are not getting lookers and offers? Two things, appearance of the boat or too high an asking price to even garner a counter offer. Id start by pulling the wrap.

I second that pull the wrap its a little over the top for this 51 year old.

x2 on pulling off that wrap. I instantly hate it, so I'm sure someone else will too. Also personally hate triples. I'm just a tech though. That boat just screams "BRO"...all it need is to be hooked up to a lifted chipped diesel with Rockstar wheels, a light bar, and a huge monster sticker on the back window. Probably not priced in bro range : )\
Also, don't know what you have it listed at but the ASR has a bit of an undeserved rap, that it doesn't surf well. It does, just needs dialed in to get it right. Depending on what its listed at I'm sure guys that want a Tige are looking at Z3s or RZX series boats as they have a better reputation as surf machines. Don't know how much you guys so demos/test drives but may be worth going out and really figuring out boat so it shows/surfs well...

How mich are you asking? I would consider taking it and having the hull moded and taps3 added.

Appreciate all of the input, the boat is white and black underneath the wrap and we have all of the factory decals ready to go as well so we may have to look into that. We have zero issues putting any boat on the water, none of these are inexpensive so you need to know what you're getting into. Thank you all again for your perspectives.

I know it's already been said, but yeah the wrap's gotta go, it's horrible

yup, for 97k you could get into a nice z3 or spend a bit more and roll an RZX

First.... I am impressed you would come here and ask for advice.

                      My thoughts:

                      1) Most people don't buy Tige's for the wakeboard wake they buy them for the Wake surf wake. The ASR was designed to make a killer wakeboard wake. It won't surf as good as other Tige's. Just my opinion.

                      2) ASR was a failure is my guess. Big sponsored riders, big marketing dollar, big boat renovation. Big flop.. This will always be a tough boat to sell I imagine.

                      3) Wakeboard was should still be excellent. Market it as a cheaper version of the G wakeboard wake.

                      4) Get rid of the wrap. Some will have heard wraps are used to hide things.

So its simple supply and demand. Not many people will demand an ASR.... so you having supply is going to be rough! I would sell it as a cheaper alternative to a Mastercraft for the guy just wanted a boat!

                      Good luck!

10 to 1 he’s not looking for advice on how to sell a boat, but advertising a boat that is for sale to people who like tiges. You can’t have a marginal boat with that wrap at that price and not know why it won’t sell. How much traffic did this draw to his website? He may as well be selling all the cell phones that pop up on here.

Love the “bro” comments. My thoughts exactly!

That boat wont sell at 96k. Whether you are looking for that input or not, its the reality. That boat without a hull tweak wont surf comparable to other 96k machines. It needs the bottom changed and taps 3 added to even get into that ball part money wise IMO. The market has shifted hard to surfing and while the hard core wakeboarder might come walking by knowing full well that the ASR can wakeboard like maybe only a G can, you have now eliminated him as a buyer at that price. Again, all of this is just my opinion.

Jason, what do you think is a realistic price? I see that Germaine has a couple ASR’s in the same price range. If it came with a taps style surf system installed and the “hull tweek” for 96k is that a good deal?

I’d also love to hear exactly what the hull tweek is. I’ve heard it mentioned a few times now but no explanation.

Needs to be priced in the mid 70K range or it will sit and never sell. The ASR just has too bad of a reputation with the surf wake issues. For 96K you can get a brand new Z3 loaded with Taps3 easily. I don't know if you could even sell it for 75K without adding TAPS3 and getting the hull fixed. I looked at an ASR last year with the hull mod and taps3 added and they still were only asking mid 70's.
