I have attached two pictures showing the bend in one of the prop blades. Seems like in shipping something heavy was placed on the box putting pressure on it perhaps, I am unsure. TThere isn't any protection on the bottom of the prop when in the box, pressure is directly on this contact point where it is bent.

I also added a picture of a blade that is not bent to show what it should look like.

Whats the seller say about it? Not claiming any misleadings happened, but that part of the blade is under the cardboard in the included sale pics... If something heavy enough to bend that blade was stacked on top of the box, there should be some nice indentions on the top inside of the box too

I think the prop size stamp is only placed on the outside of the prop so you can see it when the prop is installed. You can just make out the stamp in the buyers pictures indicating that the bent part would be in the sellers photo. So I don't think he was trying to hide it.
What is odd to me is that in the sellers photos the key way lines up in the center of one of the blades, at the 3 o'clock position. It's hard to tell in the buyers photo but it sure looks like the key way is in the middle of two blades. This is why I asked the buyer to post a picture of the whole prop.

Sorry, can't help but to speculate.

Either way, the prop has defenetaly been installed before. You can see the washer marks on the bolt hole. I wouldn't call it "brand new"...

The seller said he insured it and would work with me. I am going to take the blade in to a local prop shop for an estimate to repair. I can take a picture of the full prop also from the bottom and top. I tend to agree, it looks like it has been installed from the marks on the stamped part. All I would like is a discount for the cost to repair, I am a reasonable person and in its current state it is not usable and I could have bought a brand new one for just under $400 online. Will keep this thread updated.

Here are additional pictures of the inside of the box where the prop sits and damage to the cardboard. It definitely took some pressure based on the indentations and damage to the cardboard. There is a second cardboard layer that sits inside the box and both sides are equally damaged if I flip it over. There is no visible physical damage to the outside of the box.

That's clearly a different prop than what the seller advertised. Looks like it's been repaired before too, with the grinder/polisher marks on the blade that the key way points to.

The seller bought insurance for it? Seems odd. I usually ask my buyers if they want insurance and then adjust the shipping price accordingly.

I want to give some facts about props and the pictures and thats it. no dog in this and not taking sides and not stirring any speculation.

The listing pic is of the face of the prop, as in the side facing the rudder. This evident by the trailing edge of the blade being furthest from the hub

The pic with the bend is the side of the prop that faces forward, as in towards the strut. This is evident of the leading edge being close to the hub.

The polish marks are 100% normal from the factory. ACME does this when needed to fine balance the props.
