You can actually buy them new from Amazon cheaper than your $450.

With your expert advise I went to amazon and built this exact setup with 2 remotes the cables and the Y adaptor and couldn't find it cheaper than $480.00, so thanks for the heads up !! Now if you were interested and are serious I would consider a reasonable offer. I paid around $550 new and they have very little use. I have no reason to sell other than to make room in my cabinet just thought I'd throw them up on here as I'm not out to make anything on them.

JLG, any interest in selling just the "Y" cable and a single remote?

I have an M109 in my R20. I learned this summer the M109 is not compatible with the remotes. I was considering an upgrade to the CMD8 so I could add a remote at the driver. I haven't taken the time to find the manuals, are they they the same size? Is the CMD8 a drop in replacement, or would the opening in my glove box need to be modified. The boat is in storage for the winter so I can't look at it.

              Kraut,

Although the CMD series has the larger face, its chassis still uses the standard 2x7 opening, same as your M109. Just need to make sure that it will fit in the glove box given the current cutout was cut for the smaller faced M109.

Chpthril, are you saying that I may have to make the opening larger, or were you concerned about the faceplate fitting inside the glove box? I have seen R20s with the CMD in the glove box, so I knnow the faceplate will fit in there.

I understand the CMD is the factory option, but it sounds like your boat was ordered stereo delete, since it had a non-OEM head-unit. This would mean that whom ever did the dealer level install, cut the hole for the head-unit. If cut too high, there may not be enough clearance between the top of the CMD8 and glovebox lid.
