Bronze Shroom

I ended up with an extra 1-1/4 threaded x 1-1/4 barbed Bronze thru-hull mushroom. It can easily be made ready for a threaded elbow or bronze ball-valve if needed by simply cutting off the barbed end with a metal blade in a mitre saw. Will cut to suit or ship as is.

$30.00 shipped.

Next week I will have a 1-1/4 threaded scoop that I do not need as well if someone is interested.

Thanks! Is it the same scoop that you would normally sell to someone with an RZ2 that is doing a ballast install?

I think so, but not 100% sure as I haven't actually seen it. It was the wrong part ans was drop-shipped.

If I can get it into a USPS flat rate, then $30, same as the shroom. If I have to put it in a larger box, then lets call it $35.

It's pretty much what G-money, eks, and a few others used for there system. I think that mounted it backwards. Are you using Ballast Puppies?

If you use a scoop facing forward, you will need a shut-off valve to stop forced-filling while under way. I think it will work if you used it facing backwards.

So if I am understanding correctly I would be better off with the the mushroom if using aerator style pumps? Sorry for so many questions, I hadn't thought about the water being forced past the pumps.

Honestly, yes. The shroom would allow for filling while under way, but will not force fill the sacs.
